Comprehensive Coolant Management Services and Systems

Coolant Management Services

Each coolant type reacts differently with each combination of contaminants. Consider tramp oil: Some coolants reject it altogether. Other coolants tend to emulsify tramp oils. Still, others will reject tramp oil for a time, but after it reaches a specific concentration, they will begin to emulsify it. As a result, coolant management systems that seem to have worked fine for months might abruptly stop working altogether. By then, your sumps have already become an excellent breeding ground for bacteria. This increasing bioburden further degrades your chemistry (because bacteria feed on the corrosion inhibitors in your coolant and then excrete organic acids, salts, and hydrogen sulfide—all of which contributed to increased corrosion).

The right coolant management system focuses on maintaining your coolant with ongoing impurity removal. This is far more cost-effective than waiting until you see (and smell) trouble on your line.

A Deep Appreciation for Coolant Filtration

Trucent is dedicated to a process-oriented approach to coolant management, filtration, and recycling. This approach considers every aspect of your operation to locate and then minimize or remove sources of fluid contamination, wherever they may creep in. This proven approach consistently extends tool life, extends fluid life, increases part quality, and drives down costs.

Fluid Management Service for Industrial Fluids

Our Fluid Performance Program relies on teams with a broad base of expertise: filter equipment and technology, the fundamentals of fluid separation, and decades of experience in your industry and your fluids, processes, and operations. Your dedicated Trucent account manager and technician can be with you full-time, on-site, or intermittently. They’ll manage your coolant filtration on a daily basis, backed by laboratory analytical assessment.

Your in-house Trucent team does more than just handle fluid purchases. They monitor your coolant and fluids, maintaining them at appropriate flow rates, levels, and concentrations. They catch small abnormalities before they become expensive problems, pinpoint contaminants at their source, and find ways to separate them from your flow as early as possible.

Once your coolant is finally spent, your Trucent team will recycle or dispose of it with minimal negative impact to your business and our world. No one else offers this level of comprehensive coolant management.

Every solution begins with a conversation. Contact us today to explore better ways to manage and recycle your coolant. If you’re ready, we can schedule a no-obligation on-site consultation. Our engineers will walk your entire process, sample fluids at every critical juncture, and begin the process of removing all the worries and headaches from your coolant filtration system. We’ll trial the solution at your site to be sure it proves out.

Metalworking Fluid Purification and Reclaimation

Metalworking Reclaim Saves $400,000 Annually

Problem

A transmission component supplier had dozens of independent machine tools, each with its own sump. Their existing filtration system was unable to maintain appropriate purity specs, forcing them to frequently “top off” their metalworking fluids. This approach overwhelmed the sumps, sending perfectly good metalworking fluid down the drain.

Solution

A Trucent team introduced a new approach to fluid management that included reengineering the customer’s centralized purification system. This approach reduced their coolant concentrate usage by 60%. Consequently, the customer documented decreases in waste treatment costs and water usage. In just four months they saved $30,000 in tooling costs.

“Quick responses, personal service, and knowledgeable technicians are able to achieve desired results with little fuss or disruption of our process.”
