Oil Purification Systems Lubricant

A Process-Oriented Approach to Lube Oil Cleaning

In the gritty world of manufacturing, water and contaminants will find their way into your oil, even in “closed” systems. In the absence of some remediation, contaminants will accumulate in those lubrication systems, deteriorating lube oil and altering its viscosity, while building up as “varnish” on your machinery’s interior. All of this drives up maintenance costs.

Periodically flushing your system and recharging may seem like an acceptable solution. But setting aside the high cost of new lube oil and lost productivity that comes with dumping-and-pumping, it also poses significant risks. Flushing churns up the debris that’s settled throughout your lubrication system. Even if you clear 90% of the lubricant out of your systems, that remaining 10% is often so contaminated that it immediately uses up most of the anti-wear corrosion inhibiting additives in your “clean” new lube oil.

Meanwhile, there are machines—like stamping presses—that are notorious for continuously leaking large quantities of lubricant. Ideally, you should be able to capture that lost lubricant, remove the water/solid particles/contaminants, return it to its OE specification, and pump it back into the “closed” lubrication system it escaped from. Reclaiming this lubrication will save you a significant amount of money, both in reduced purchases of new lube oil and paying less to dispose of smaller volumes of irrecoverably contaminated oil.

Oil-based lubricants like gear and hydraulic oils are significantly cheaper to purify and recycle than to purchase every time they degrade. That’s why Trucent is dedicated to developing custom turn-key separation and purification solutions that will keep your lubricants working as intended by their manufacturers. These include permanent in-process installations, mobile in-plant skids, and mobile oil cleaning trucks that travel to your site as needed.

Centrifuge-Based Contamination Control for Clean Lube Oil

The best solutions come out of a process-oriented approach to lube cleaning and purification. Such an approach considers every aspect of your operation to find, minimize, or remove fluid failure mechanisms—wherever they may creep in.

Trucent has decades of experience separating and cleaning fluids for industrial and manufacturing applications. These solutions are most often built around high-speed three-phase centrifuges. In a single pass, our lube oil centrifuges can efficiently remove solids, contaminants, and water from oil-based lubricants. These units produce a very high peripheral centrifugal force, meaning they can remove extremely fine particles (0.1 to 50 microns) and at the same time achieve efficient separation of immiscible liquids (like water and lube oil).

But we aren’t just centrifuge salespeople. Our process-oriented approach means collaborating with you to create a meaningful solution that will last. That starts with working with your team to agree on a specification for your lube’s particulate contaminants, water removal, and additives. Next, we develop a strategy with you to segregate and collect different contaminated oil types on an ongoing basis. Based on the standard life of your oils or continuous laboratory testing, we create a purification schedule. Our filtration and purification process allows us to maintain your industrial lube oils at your desired ISO cleanliness code and guarantees the lowest water content in the industry. Finally, we issue a report that documents the results before returning the oil to your system for reuse (with your approval).

Comprehensive Centrifugal Lube Oil Filtration Solutions & Services

Depending on your application and needs, your lube purification solution could include a permanent in-process centrifuge installation, portable off-line centrifuge, or on-site “by-pass” filtration in either a fixed or mobile configuration. We can even install a team in your plant to run and manage all your centrifuges, separators, and filtration technology on a daily basis.

No one else offers this level of comprehensive service with all hydraulic fluid formulations.

Every solution begins with a conversation. Contact us today to explore better ways to reclaim your oil and other lubricants. If you’re ready, we can schedule a no-obligation on-site consultation now. Our engineers will walk your entire process, sample oil at every stage, and begin the process of making your oil filtration system as trouble-free as possible.

Trucent provides comprehensive solutions to lube oil maintenance issues. We can help you improve your existing filtration system—or design an entirely new way to remove water and contaminants from your lube oil. We can install one piece of equipment or install a team to manage all your filtration technology on a daily basis. The goals remain the same: Cleaner lube oil, longer equipment life, greater efficiency, and better results.
